In order to keep our high quality, continuous testing is at the core of our development processes. For high levels of strength and stability, our products are certified by independent institutes that are well-respected authorities in the industry. EN is the European Standard, which measures and assesses the strength, durability, and safety of our products for domestic and non-domestic use. On top of that, we also test a variety of our furniture against one of the most demanding standards, the North American, ANSI/BIFMA. Together, these industry standards are your extra assurance that our designs are safe — and built to last.
For example, take our Fiber Armchair Tube Base. In order to meet the stringent requirements of ANSI/BIFMA X5.4, the protocols to test the durability include dropping the equivalent of 57 kilos onto the chair’s seat 100,000 times and applying 33,4 kilos of pressure to the chair’s backrest 120,000 times.
By 2025 our goal is to offer spare parts for all applicable designs to ensure the possibility to repair our products. Our design philosophy is based on the mission to create long-lasting designs to keep and pass on to the next generation — but we also want to prolong our designs’ life cycles by making spare parts available.
At Muuto, we are committed to ensuring the longevity and functionality of our products. For applicable products, we offer a range of spare parts available for purchase, allowing you to repair and maintain your Muuto products.
If you wish to learn more, purchase spare parts, or make an inquiry, please reach out to our customer care at customercare@muuto.com.
Please note: If the buyer assembles the product, the warranty applies only to the product components, not the assembly of product.
